Preston North End
Preston North End are one of the founding clubs of English football. Formed in 1880, the club quickly became a dominant force in the early years of the game.
Preston made history in the 1888–89 season, winning the very first Football League title without losing a match and completing the first ever league and FA Cup double. That legendary side became known as “The Invincibles.”
The club has played at Deepdale since 1878, making it one of the oldest continuously used football grounds in the world. Over the decades Preston has produced iconic players, most famously Sir Tom Finney, widely regarded as one of England’s greatest ever footballers.
Today, Preston North End remain a proud club with deep roots in football history and a loyal fanbase that continues to pack Deepdale and follow the Lilywhites across the country.
